01What we do
Saberwyn reviews online games for players and families in the UK. We only write about games we have played properly, over many evenings. Every review gives a typical session, an outro where the game is easy to put down, who can talk to you, what it sells once you are playing, comfort notes and who it suits.
02Why a setlist?
Because a good evening of games has a shape, like a good gig: an opening, a few highlights, an intermission and a clear moment when the lights come up. The games we love most, from rhythm games to online matches where the next round is always seconds away, are easier to enjoy when you know where the set ends.
03Who writes the reviews
A small group of long-time players, from team battles and party games to building, puzzle and rhythm games, alongside parents who try the family controls on each platform and headset we mention.
04How the site is funded
Not by anyone in the games business. There are no adverts, affiliate links, sponsored reviews or products for sale. We host no games, run no accounts and take no payments.
05Conflicts of interest
If a reviewer has a personal or professional link to a game or studio, someone else reviews it and the review says so. We accept no gifts, trips or early access in exchange for coverage.
06The artwork
Every picture of a game’s world is an original illustration made for this site in that game’s visual style. None of it is official artwork, a screenshot or a real person. Our waveform logo is our own.
07Why UK English?
British spelling, UK age labels and UK support services. No pop-ups, no autoplaying video or sound, and no tracking.
08Corrections
